Lida

You can’t help but feel a little excited and a little scared. It’s Lida’s bathroom and it is jam packed with lipsticks of every shade, even that neon orange that was only in style for a few months in the 80’s.  You feel the sense of endless possibility and you haven’t even started on the nail polish. 

 

Lida doesn’t care that you are going through her things, in fact she is in the closet in the other room digging out something that she got just for you – she just has to find it. Aha!  Well, that isn’t it, but it is something she wants you to have. And you love it, whatever it is, the scarf, the necklace, the earrings she picked up at the garage sale. 

 

You just don’t know how she does it. How is she so put together when the house is always on the verge of falling apart? Lida just knows how to achieve perfect balance through a sheer love of life that infuses everything she touches and keeps things in a state of creative wonder. Oh, and priorities! There is never time to clean the house, but there is always time to stop at the garage sale and there is always time for you.
